Official Contest Rules

1. Eligibility: The Word of the Ring App Launch contest is open to anyone who can legally receive the prize from the sponsor and to whom the sponsor is legally permitted to deliver the prize based on the legal jurisdictions of both the sponsor and the winner. This contest is void where prohibited by law.  Employees (and their immediate family members) and affiliates of Blue Water Apps, LLC are not eligible. 

2. Sponsorship: The sponsor is Blue Water Apps, LLC (“Sponsor”). Sponsor will conduct the contest substantially as described in these Official Rules. 

3. Agreement to Rules: By entering this contest, the Entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Sponsor’s Official Rules and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this contest, You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of this contest. 

4. Contest Duration: The contest will start on August 28^th of 2022 (EST) and remain in effect until the earlier of October 31^st 2022 or until a winner is determined per contest rules.

5. How to Enter: Eligible entrants can enter the contest by downloading the Word of the Ring app on their IOS device and winning points during the contest period.  The app does not collect personal information of the user.  Therefore, in order to receive the prize, the entrant must post the nickname selected for the app leaderboard as a comment to the media platform where they learned of the contest or alternatively, e-mail the nickname to wordoftheringcontest@bluewaterapps.com. 

6. Prizes: The single Winner will receive a $500 Amazon gift card.

7. Odds: The odds of winning will be vary based on the total number of eligible entrants and the points scored in the app by those entrants.

8. Selection and Notification of Winner: The Winner will be selected by a drawing that includes all entrants who scored points on or before the day that the app first reaches 10,000 players having scored points.  The number of points scored will increase the chances of winning.  If the app does not reach 10,000 players having scored points by the end date, no prize will be awarded.  The Sponsor will notify the Winner by the method the entrant used to enter the contest. The Sponsor is not responsible for nor shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to email security settings that may cause notifications to be marked as spam or junk email. Nor shall be Sponsor be liable for the Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner 1) fails to claim the prize within 5 from the time the award notification was sent, 2) is found ineligible, or 3) does not provide a valid means to receive the prize within the specified timeframe, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected. Receipt of the prize by the Winner is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IF THE WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.  

9. Limitation of Liability: Your entry into this contest constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in the contest and/or the 1) Winner accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; 2) any type of technical failure; 3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; 4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; 5) electronic error or human error in the Promotion administration or the processing of entries. 

10. Privacy Policy: The privacy policy for Blue Water Apps, LLC can be found on the website www.bluewaterapps.com.  Specific to this contest, your identity may be linked to your in-app nickname if you chose to enter the contest via posting the nickname in a social media or other public platform.  The in-app nickname will also be used to inform other entrants of the contest winner.

11. This contest is not linked to, or sponsored by, any entity other than Blue Water Apps, LLC.  The use of social media or other platforms to advertise the contest does not constitute in any way an endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or any other link to the contest by the platform.

12. No Purchase Necessary: There is no purchase necessary for entering.  If you do not have an IOS device, you can enter the contest by sending an e-mail to wordoftheringcontest@bluewaterapps.comstating that you would like to enter the contest, but do not have an IOS device.  The e-mail will be counted as if the user had download the app and scored 100 points.  E-mail entries do not count towards the 10,000 players referred to in rule 8 above.
